Meet Hendrix, our little man who decided to swiftly arrive into our lives on the 25th of June 2017 at 5:47pm after a very lovely labour and delivery. He weighed a healthy 7 pounds 10 ounces of pure perfection. As soon as he came into this world and was placed into my arms, my heart doubled in size, so much so I would often cry tears of happiness when I looked at him. Because how could anything be that beautiful?!
At this stage of pregnancy it's truly a mixed bag of emotions! I want time to speed up so they are out in the world but I also want it to slow down a little too. I am happy with my little bump and it finally feels like a real pregnant bump now. I just feel like I haven't had it for long enough. Today I am 38 weeks pregnant and two weeks away from my due date.
Just over two weeks ago on May bank holiday weekend we had our baby shower and it was honestly the best day ever!I'd quite happily go back and do it all over again if we could. It was the loveliest day spent with the best people! I can't believe how loved this little one is already. Time seems to be going so fast and in just a few weeks we get to meet the person who's been digging all the way under my ribs.
Before I get too far along into my third trimester (currently 35 weeks today) I better crack on and update you guys with all the juicy details of the second trimester. So, I guess it's true what they say about the second trimester, at least for me anyway. You do feel better - if you're reading this and you're having the worst time with morning sickness, don't worry, it really does get better!
We found out we were expecting late October and we have been on cloud nine since. Now I am almost at the end of my second trimester and at the beginning of my third. I am quite excited for trials of the first trimester to be over upon reflection, I didn't have a hard time like the horror stories you hear and for that I am eternally grateful to my body and this little baby.
