Although I have had on and off flings with other nail polish brands the main bulk of my collection is made up of Essie. I think I must own at least 20 or more of their shades and I still manage to have those nothing to wear moments but for my nails. If I'm ever in doubt of what to put on my nails, these three gems are definitely the stand outs in my Essie collection.
The Nude: Ballet Slippers
The perfect polish to grab in a hurry because of its subtle and sheer finish. There's something about this milky pink shade that gives the effect of a french manicure when applied lightly. It tends to add a lovely glow to your nails. I'd call this my kale nail polish because no matter how shabbily I apply it my nails instantly look less drab and more put together in an instant. If you're someone who likes a quick fix this is the shade for you.
The Bright: Tart Deco
My go to feel good nail polish, without a doubt there's something about this almost neon peachy coral shade that gives me an instant pick me up when I wear it. It's magical. No matter what the weather or season it always brightens up my day. It's even perfect for the toes too.
The Underated: Truth or Flare
I love this shade because of its blueish grey tones. It's a shade that reminds me of old distressed vintage denim. It might not be to everyones taste but it's definitely an underrated shade that doesn't get the attention it deserves. I'll often repaint my nails this colour a few times in a row because it mixes seamlessly with my wardrobe and doesn't tend to clash with anything. I would bare in mind on their website this shade looks more vibrant than the one I own. I'm wondering if this shade has been reformulated since I picked it up.
I'd love to know if you tried any Essie products before? And if so what are you go to shades?
