Just over two weeks ago on May bank holiday weekend we had our baby shower and it was honestly the best day ever! I'd quite happily go back and do it all over again if we could. It was the loveliest day spent with the best people! I can't believe how loved this little one is already. Time seems to be going so fast and in just a few weeks we get to meet the person who's been digging all the way under my ribs.
We held the baby shower at Josh's mums house. For those of you who might not of met him he's my better half and chief pizza maker of the day. I take my hat off to him because the food was delicious! Lots of very cheesy margarita pizza and salad. Along with homemade fudge, scones, and cakes. And a mini pick and mix bar too. A collection of all my favourite things, it was dreamy. I could quite happily eat it all over again. Nom! Luckily the rain stayed well away and we were able to use inside and the garden. A lot of the decor and games we made ourselves because we're quite a crafty pair like that. One of my favourite parts of planning the baby shower was sourcing inspiration on Pinterest. I could easily of done that for hours. All the signs that we had at our baby shower were made by Josh's mum, Karen, I will leave a link to her Instagram here. She'll be opening up her own online shop very soon. We kept the colour scheme fairly neutral with golds and teals as the main accent colours. Teal and turquoise are my favourite colours. I have been even more drawn towards them during my pregnancy so it felt right to have them be the main colours at my baby shower.
I wore a lovely off the shoulder dress from Topshop that had plenty of room for bump. It was a non-maternity item so i'll link it here if you're interested. Usually the off the shoulder style doesn't suit me but I quite liked the way this flowed over my bump. I'm hoping it will be one of those dresses I can just throw on when the baby is born and the weather is warmer.
Over all it was an amazing day! And i'd like to say a big thank you again to all my friends and family for being such supportive dreamboats and showering me, Josh and the bump with lots of love!
